Paediatric Neurosurgery


Dr Akinola Oduntan is specially trained and has substantial clinical experience in treating children, providing them with insightful and attentive care. Treating children with brain and spinal issues can be complex. Their bodies are still growing and they cannot always describe what is bothering them, or answer medical questions. Sometimes children are impatient and uncooperative during a medical examination. The doctor knows how to examine and treat children in a way that makes them feel relaxed and cooperative. Pediatric neurosurgical problems can be present for life. Some nervous system problems usually require ongoing follow-ups throughout childhood and adolescence. Dr Oduntan often does research on the latest innovations and techniques aimed at improving outcomes and the experiences of his little patients. This includes robotics/robot-assisted technology, which can improve the quality of procedures that require a high degree of accuracy and safety, and they are minimally invasive.
